Injective USDC officially becomes the standard across Cosmos, dYdX, and the entire Cosmos ecosystem. Together with Circle, Cosmos Labs, dYdX, and ecosystem partners, we’re coordinating the transition from Noble USDC to native USDC issued by Circle on Injective.
The migration opens on Skip:Go tomorrow, September 11. Users on supported chains will be able to move from Noble USDC, displayed as USDC.n, to Injective USDC, displayed as USDC.inj.
dYdX will adopt USDC.inj as the sole eligible trading collateral on dYdX Chain. Current balances, operations, and trading remain unchanged. dYdX will publish its migration timing and instructions before users need to act.
One USDC standard connects the ecosystem. Injective provides the native issuance network, while IBC brings that USDC to participating Cosmos chains.
What Injective USDC brings to Cosmos
The transition gives Cosmos a shared USDC deployment for trading, lending, payments, and treasury activity. Wallets, exchanges, and applications can align around the same asset as they migrate, reducing fragmentation across USDC representations. This carries forward the ecosystem adoption announced in May.
Injective also connects Cosmos to Circle’s newer CCTP infrastructure. Noble uses CCTP v1. Injective supports CCTP v2, giving users access to a broader network of supported chains, including Ethereum, Base, and Solana. IBC extends that connectivity to participating Cosmos chains.
On Injective itself, USDC works across EVM and Wasm applications through the MultiVM Token Standard. Developers can build with either environment while using the same native asset. Traders can put USDC to work in Injective’s onchain markets, and applications can use it for lending, collateral, and payments. Injective’s USDC launch.
Eligible institutions also have direct access to Circle Mint on Injective for fiat conversion, minting, and redemption. Applications benefit from Injective’s subsecond finality and low transaction fees for activity on the network. Circle’s Injective announcement.
A supported path beyond Noble
Noble USDC already brought Circle-issued dollars to Cosmos through IBC. The transition preserves that foundation while moving the ecosystem to Injective’s CCTP deployment and application infrastructure.
It also establishes the replacement as Circle winds down Noble support. New minting to Noble through Circle Mint stops on October 13, 2026. Circle Mint and CCTP access for Noble ends on January 13, 2027.
For dYdX, adopting USDC.inj gives trading collateral a shared issuance source with the wider Cosmos ecosystem. Injective and dYdX are working together to complete the transition ahead of the cutoff.
Migration Opens September 11
Skip:Go’s guided flow lets users migrate USDC.n and receive USDC.inj on the chain where they started.
- Open Skip:Go and select USDC.n on your chain as the source.
- Select USDC.inj on the same chain as the destination.
- Sign two transactions, one on your starting chain and one on Injective. A Skip relayer handles the intermediate CCTP steps.
Supported chains at launch include dYdX, Osmosis, Cosmos Hub, Terra 2.0, Neutron, ZIGChain, XPLA, and Initia. More chains will join as they get integrated with Skip:Go. A dedicated migration API and integration documentation will follow.
dYdX users should wait for dYdX’s specific instructions before taking action. Liquidity providers should follow their protocol’s guidance for moving positions into USDC.inj pools and markets.
Dates for the Transition
- September 11, 2026. Guided migration opens on Skip:Go.
- October 13, 2026. Circle Mint stops new USDC minting to Noble. Redemptions remain available.
- October 31, 2026. Legacy CCTP burn limits begin stepping down toward zero.
- December 1, 2026. CCTP exits from Noble may become limited to fewer destination chains.
- January 12, 2027. The migration window closes and Circle takes its snapshot of remaining balances.
- January 13, 2027. Circle Mint and CCTP access for Noble ends. Remaining holders must use Circle’s manual redemption process, subject to its eligibility requirements.
Manual redemption requires USDC to be in a holder-controlled wallet included in the snapshot. USDC held in pools or smart contracts at that time will not qualify.
For supported holdings outside protocol-specific migration plans, migrate before October 31, when legacy CCTP limits begin tightening.
Injective USDC gives Cosmos a shared foundation for the next generation of onchain markets. Explore USDC on Injective and follow your chain or application’s migration instructions.
