Today, Next Finance Tech, a Goldman Sachs-founded blockchain infrastructure company based in Tokyo, joins Injective's active validator set. The addition places one of Japan's most established node operators directly inside the Injective network and opens a localized expansion into one of the most regulated and institution-friendly crypto economies in the world.

Built in Tokyo, Built for Institutions

Soichiro Tokuriki and Shinya Tsuchida founded Next Finance Tech in 2021. Both came from Goldman Sachs. Tokuriki led investment strategy while Tsuchida built securities and operations systems as a QA engineer. They started the company to bring that same institutional rigor to blockchain infrastructure.

The firm operates validator nodes and staking services for corporate clients in Japan and internationally. In May 2024, it launched Fuelco, a domestic staking platform supporting Ethereum. Since then, it has added support for Solana, Babylon and Canton Network. In 2025, Coincheck Group, a NASDAQ-listed public company, acquired Next Finance Tech, folding it into one of Japan's largest crypto exchanges.

Next Finance Tech also runs Ledefi Research, a Japanese-language outlet covering DeFi protocols and blockchain infrastructure. The team has co-authored reports with partners like Babylon Labs and published educational content aimed at enterprise audiences across Japan.

Their protocol participation tells the rest of the story. Next Finance Tech is actively engaged across multiple networks and staking ecosystems. Injective is the latest network in that lineup.

Why Japan Matters for Injective

Japan's regulatory environment for digital assets is one of the clearest globally. Licensed exchanges operate under Financial Services Agency oversight. The country has moved faster than most on stablecoin frameworks and token classification. That clarity attracts large-scale institutional capital that most crypto ecosystems never reach.

Next Finance Tech sits where that regulatory clarity meets onchain infrastructure. The firm has built relationships with enterprise investors, hosted events like Yield Summit 2026 and the Digital Asset Forum, and actively connects international protocols with the Japanese market. For Injective, this is a direct expansion point into a market that most Layer 1s have not been able to access.

What This Means for the Injective Network

Validators stake INJ to propose blocks, validate transactions, and vote on governance proposals. Uptime and low-latency processing are non-negotiable. Next Finance Tech's experience managing validator infrastructure across major chains such as Ethereum  makes them well-equipped for that role. Their operations team, trained at Goldman Sachs, adds another level of institutional reliability to Injective's validator set, which already includes Binance and Google Cloud.

Beyond validation, the partnership gives Injective a credible presence in Japan's institutional crypto market. Next Finance Tech's connections to enterprise clients, regulated exchanges, and institutional staking demand create a distribution channel that did not previously exist for the Injective ecosystem in the region.

For Injective, this collaboration is a localized expansion point into a market that most major L1s haven’t been able to reach.

“We are truly honored to join Injective as a validator. Injective stands as one of the most advanced and interoperable blockchain infrastructures driving the future of global Web3 finance. Next Finance Tech has been at the forefront of building institutional-grade Web3 infrastructure in Japan. Through this collaboration, we look forward to supporting Injective’s expansion into the Japanese market, including running Injective validator and beyond, and contributing to the long-term growth of the Injective ecosystem. We are confident that together, we will create lasting value for the Web3 community.”

— Soichiro Tokuriki, CEO, Next Finance Tech

What validators do on Injective
